Naming
Your company name must be unique, registered with Companies House, and not contain any of several reserved words. You can conduct a search, to make sure your chosen name is unused, with Companies House during their operating hours.
Employing yourself
When formed, your company needs to appoint a director. As a contractor starting up a services business, the usual approach is to employ yourself as the sole director. As both an employer and employee you will be responsible for twice the paperwork!
