Probe.jpg

Probe was a UK company based in Croydon which developed games from as early as 1984 through to 1996 when it was bought by Acclaim. Probe was later renamed as Iguana London and then Acclaim Studio London and continued to develop games until it finally closed in 2000.

Probe was untypical in the industry in that it paid overtime during the week and time and a half on weekends. However, Acclaim rewrote the employees' contracts shortly after taking over and removed paid overtime in the process.
